2024/2025 is set to be another busy year of Music Service events with a full programme of orchestra, bands and ensemble concerts, workshops and participation in festivals.

    The Music Service has enjoyed many exciting and creative events with our friends at the Ulster Orchestra this year.

    The Music Service is really excited for our double reed workshop with Greg Topping and Christopher Blake from the Ulster Orchestra.

    Our oboe and bassoon students are sure to be inspired with catchy tunes and excellent tips on performance & technique.

    CBYO Online Chamber groups

    The City of Belfast Youth Orchestra (CBYO) switched weekly Saturday rehearsals onto Microsoft Teams and divided the Orchestra into smaller Chamber Ensembles, CB and YO, for the recording of two iconic chamber music pieces.

    CBYO Brass Section raise funds for music education project in Uganda

    Members of the City of Belfast Youth Orchestra have been raising money for Brass for Africa, a music education project in Uganda.

    Music Service Instrumental tuition update

    Following a meeting with the Public Health Agency to review our updated guidance and risk assessments, it has now been agreed that woodwind and brass tuition can recommence, along with strings, percussion and keyboard.

    The Education Authority (EA) Music Service are delighted to be working in partnership with The Benedetti Foundation. We will be delivering an exciting weekend of workshops from Friday 1st May to Sunday 3rd May 2020 in EA Antrim Board.
