Piano

The piano is a stringed keyboard instrument in which the strings are struck by wooden hammers that are coated with a softer material. It is played using a keyboard, which is a row of keys that the performer presses down or strikes with the fingers and thumbs of both hands to cause the hammers to strike the strings.

    Piano

The Piano was developed in the 1700s. If you take the front cover off the piano you will see Strings and Hammers. The hammers strike the strings when the white or black keys are pressed. If you look at the bottom of the piano you will usually see three pedals. The pedals are used to change the quality of the sound of the music being played.
