In-person rehearsals for the Music Service Orchestra, Bands and Ensembles (OBE) programme have been paused for over a year but from January to May 2021, over 150 children and young people from Bangor, Down, Lisburn and Castlereagh joined an ‘OBE Online’ project and worked with Music Service tutors.
Pupils watched tutorials, participated in workshops, rehearsed online and recorded videos of newly learnt pieces.
Over 700 videos were uploaded and a 20 minute ‘virtual’ concert, including performances of 'This Is Me' (The Greatest Showman) and 'The Avengers' was created.
