'Magnificent Music' Project

All rehearsals for the Music Service Orchestras, Bands and Ensembles have been paused for over a year now so in March the NE Youth Orchestra and Youth Concert Band decided to produce an online performance of Elmer Bernstein’s Magnificent Seven. 

This gave pupils from the Youth Orchestra and Youth Concert Band a chance to come together and perform albeit from their own homes and in a virtual format.

Pupils were sent out their sheet music parts with a click track of the piece. They watched online tutorials created by tutors and then recorded videos of themselves playing their individual parts.

Over 40 children uploaded their videos which were all melded together to produce this virtual performance.
