CBYO perform at Belfast City Hall

The EA City of Belfast Youth Orchestra (CBYO) returned to live performance for the first time in 2 years on Sunday 10th April in Belfast City Hall.

This Celebration Evening, performed in the presence of Deputy Lord Mayor Tom Haire, postponed from March 2020, saw Belfast City Council acknowledge over six decades of music making by CBYO as an integral part of the musical heritage of the City. 

Thanks were also conveyed to the staff and members of CBYO for their resilience in keeping the ensemble rehearsing right throughout the pandemic by Michele Corkey, EA Director of Education. 

All who attended and performed thoroughly enjoyed the evening and remarked on how wonderful it was to be sharing in the joy of live music making again.
