Benedetti Foundation visits EA Music

Following the huge success of the Residency in the Southern Region in 2023, the EA Music Western Region is delighted to welcome the Benedetti Foundation back to deliver inspiring workshops and wonderful music-making opportunities. The team will be with us across the Western Region from Wednesday 28th February until Sunday 3rd March.

Lucy Drever and Callum Huggan will deliver workshops in schools across the Western Region, focusing on inspiring and engaging pupils through the fundamentals of making music covering the basics of pulse, rhythm, pitch and harmony.

There will be a twilight session for classroom teachers to support music education in schools and offer vital professional development.

The weekend will be a huge celebration of music-making, with students from primary and post-primary approaching music in a way that inspires fun and enjoyment, a greater sense of togetherness and a true abandonment of caution, as well as connecting to creativity, to dance, rhythm and improvisation.

We are grateful to the Benedetti Foundation for these wonderful sessions and to the Arts Council of NI for their continued support to bring this opportunity to children and young people.
