Benedetti Foundation in Portadown Music Centre

EA Music Service Southern Region was delighted to continue our partnership work with The Benedetti Foundation in March 2023 as part of the first Benedetti Foundation Residency for EA schools and Music Service Regions.

9 primary schools received music workshops with Lucy Drever & Callum Huggan and a classroom teacher twilight session was also available to all in Portadown Music Centre. During the weekend string players from the Southern Region ensembles enjoyed two fantastic sessions led by the Benedetti Foundation tutors, followed by over 75 beginners from all across the southern region area creating a big sound in the Residency Sessions Beginner String Day.

Thank you to the Benedetti Foundation for these wonderful sessions and to the Arts Council of NI for their continued support to bring this opportunity to children and young people. The EA Music Service will welcome the next Benedetti Foundation Residency back to NI in 2024 hosted by EA Music Service in the Western Region, with a further 3 years to look forward to.
