The Youth Training Orchestra is open to all pupils who have attained Grade 4 and above from all school levels. The membership fee is £145.20 (family discounts apply) and weekly rehearsals take place on Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:15pm.
The repertoire is varied and challenging from classical to pop and film music. Fun through performance is the main objective and weekend residentials in early June have proved to be very popular in the past.
The Youth Training Orchestra performs at the Christmas concerts in the Antrim Forum and at the May concert in the Ballymena North Business Centre.
The conductor of this ensemble is Colin Elliott.
