Derry Junior String Orchestra (DJSO)

The Derry Junior String Orchestra is open to all pupils who play orchestral string instruments in year 6 and 7 in Primary Schools.

Membership is £48.40 per annum (family discounts apply) and weekly rehearsals take place after school on Tuesdays, 4pm- 5pm in St Mary's College

Repertoire is varied and challenging and from many different styles and genres; from well-known baroque and classical masterpieces right through to popular music from the stage and screen.

The DJSO perform in two concerts per year; one around Christmas and another at the end of the Spring term in St Mary's College and Millennium Forum respectively.

November: 5, 12, 19, 26

December: 3 (9th December concert in St Mary's College)

January: 7, 14, 21, 28

February: 4, 18, 25

March: 4, 11, 25 (1st April concert in Millennium Forum)
