Derry Intermediate String Orchestra (DISO)

The Derry Intermediate String Orchestra is open to all pupils who play orchestral string instruments in Post Primary Schools.

Membership is £48.40 per annum (family discounts apply) and weekly rehearsals take place after school on Tuesdays, 4.15pm-5.15pm in St Mary's College.

Repertoire is varied and challenging and from many different styles and genres; from well-known baroque and classical masterpieces right through to popular music from the stage and screen.

The DISO perform in two concerts per year; one around Christmas and again at the end of the Spring term in St Mary's College and Millennium Forum respectively.

December: 3 (9th December concert in St Mary's College)

January: 7, 14, 21, 28

February: 4, 18, 25

March: 4, 11, 25 (1 April concert in Millennium Forum)
