Southern Area String Orchestra

The Southern Area String Orchestra is open to all pupils who have received Grade 1 and above. The membership fee is £99 per annum (family discounts apply) and weekly rehearsals take place on Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30pm.

This is generally a young musician’s first experience of playing in a larger ensemble and helps to forge friendships, confidence and progress.

SASO perform a Civic Christmas Concert in The Mill at Mossley and a May Concert in Ballyearl Theatre.

The Orchestra is conducted by Charlotte Gul.
